This is an excellent book that is completely useless, considering nobody really has any access to an IBM 1130. So therefore it is only for historical purposes and scaring the developers that I keep it. It has some pretty pictures of the antiquated system, which is good for research.
It's contents are mostly about how to communicate with the system, using fortran, which is a fairly low level mathematics code. Furthermore, the fortran code you write has to be translated into cards, kinda like show more those ones you fill out multiple choice exams with.
There is, sadly, only one chapter on practical applications using this system. show less
