(Marcus) Antonius Primus: Roman General. In the "Year of Four Emperors" (69 C.E.), Primus seems to have decided that he could not be Emperor himself due to his bad reputation, so he decided to back Vespasian. It was Primus who defeated the forces of Vitellius, allowing Vespasian to assume the purple.
