(Fictitious character) The body of Barclay Carmichael, 27, was found in St. James Park, drained of blood, with the arm muscles cut away, and a blank page from a ship's log dated 24 March in his mouth. Carmichael was described as a "bang-up Corinthian." He was the son of the extremely wealthy banker and business man Humphrey Carmichael, and his wife, the daughter of an impoverished earl.
