Character description

Hester Maria "Queeney" Thrale, later Elphinstone (1764–1857), Lady Keith, was the daughter of Hester Thrale, the diarist and close friend of Samuel Johnson. Queeney was considered a child prodigy and grew up to be an educated and accomplished woman. She serves as a mentor to Jack Aubrey in Patrick O'Brian's novels. See also CK for Queeney Thrale.
