Although the story did not really seem to go anywhere, "Assault on a City" was a descriptive jaunt through a rogue's world. The crass merchandising in "Stungun Slim" comes closer to fruition with each new reality TV program. "If the Stars are Gods" is a different take on the alien encounter with the usual bureaucratic interference. "My Sweet Lady Jo" is another time travel story with an ending worthy of Heinlein. ( )
