Starbucks' Christmas treat from 2010: An endearing short story about a mouse who writes stories from within the walls of the home of a family that is partnered with mildly eccentric and colorful illustrations. Really, it's just rather cute.

Book description
In The Mouse Writer, dapper "house mouse" Huxley has a very special talent. With beautiful penmanship (using his tail!), he writes wonderful stories. But after losing his last notebook, he realizes he must reveal his identity to the Taylor family. Follow him on his adventures as he makes contact with little Griffin, Maggie, and the rest of the family--hopefully without becoming dinner for Tubbs, their very big and very hungry cat.
