Such a wonderful story about a monster who eats the town's garbage. I wish we had one of those around here! This would be a good book for young children, especially for expanding their vocabulary. I can't wait to read more from the author. ( )

This e-picture book has many themes; it shows the power of kids working together, that kids can do things in the world themselves without waiting for adults, and that we, as a community, need to recycle. It’s about a monster that eats the town’s garbage, and as the town gets bigger, the monster ate more and more trash until it started to get sick. The bad mayor simply asked the monster to eat more. The children knew this was the wrong way to go about doing things so, after meeting with their beloved monster to see what was the matter, they decided to start a recycling business to help the monster so that his tummy didn’t hurt anymore. There is a child-like cadence to the rhyme scheme that makes this extremely kid-friendly. Ages 3-7.

Teaches a leeson to children, very forward thinking in todays world. Illustrations are great! About a town built on a hill and at the end of the hill there is a monster that eats all thier garbadge. Then it becomes a problem because the monster gets huge, and tries to eat them. ( )

Garbage! Monster! Burp! ( )
