An adoptive mother explain to her child who say" you are not my real mother, "all the thing a real mom does and even though she is adopted she is thankful that she can love and care for her. Eventually the young girl realize that they don't have to look alike. The story help children understand the concept of adoption and the importance of acceptance in family.

This book is about a girl who was adopted and feels like her mom is not her real mom because they look different then each other. The girl is learning what makes up a family.

This is a great story for children who are adopted to read and see their life portrayed in a book. In the story the little girls yells at her mom saying that she is not her real mom because they do not look alike. But the mom explains that this may be the case but there are a million other reasons that make her, her mom.
