Like many small towns, Buffalo Valley is dying. Stores are boarded up, sidewalks are cracked, houses are in need of a coat of paint. But despite all that, there's a spirit of hope here, of defiance. The few people still left here are fighting for their town.
Lindsay Snyder is a newcomer. She's an outsider, even though she spent childhood vacations here. Now she returns to see the family house again, to explore family secrets and to reevaluate her life. And soon after she arrives, she meets a local farmer named Gage Sinclair...

1990's North Dakota, Buffalo Valley is dying. But Lyndsay takes a teacher's job anyway, living in her late grandmother's house and determined to unlock her grandmother's secret and trying to stay away from attractive Gage ( )

Enjoyable read. Good build of characters. ( )

A story about a "Southern City Girl" who moves to a small farming town in North Dakota. The town is on the brink of extinction and she is able to turn it around and breathe new life into it. At the same time she is able to uncover some of her roots and accept somethings about herself. A good story overall, I thought that I wasn't going to like it but within 50 pages I was hooked, I can't wait for the rest in the series. ( )

The town of Buffalo Valley, North Dakota is fighting hard to survive. When their High School teacher retires, it feels like a death blow. Gage Sinclair and the others on the town council know that without a new teacher, their town will wither up and die. So when Lindsay Sinclair decides that Buffalo Valley--a place she remembers from her childhood vacations--would be the perfect place to go to escape from her screwed up love life, she is quickly welcomed. But despite the enthusiasm of the townspeople, Lindsay still feels like an outsider. Will Gabe and the others in town be able to convince her to stay?

A sweet romance story, those of the midwest/farm background will readily identify with it. ( )
