What an awesome book. I could not put it down, it is one of those books that will keep you on the edge of your seat. You will not want to stop reading because you want to know what is going to happen next throughout the whole book. I love it, I would recommend this book to anyone who loves this type of genre! Enjoy!! Now on to Book 2 'Accordance'. There are 4 books in the series. ( )

Significance has been sitting on my Kindle for a while now, so I finally decide to give it a try since I found out it’s going to be a movie aired on TV.

Plot: Honestly, this would have been a book that I would really enjoy had I not already read something extremely similar to it. Maggie lives a seemingly ordinary life. After breaking up with her boyfriend of three years, she decides to finally accept going on a date with Kyle, who has been asking her out multiple times after her break up. On the way to meet him for their date, she runs into his cousin by accident. She literally saves him from being hit by a car when crossing the street. She discovers that he’s Kyle’s cousin when they end up walking to his house. Both can’t deny the connection between them and when they shake hands, something strange happens. Flashes of their future appear, and Caleb realizes Maggie is his Significance since they just imprinted, even though Maggie is human. This brings up problems with a rival supernatural group who hasn’t had any member of their clan find a Significance in years.
The plot idea was definitely interesting but somewhat cliché. The imprinting aspect reminded me of the werewolves from the Twilight series. Also, the fact that being apart from your Significance caused physical pain seemed a little extreme. I would’ve appreciated the idea of Significances more if I had not read the Fate series by Heather Lyons which is almost identical in plot. The main character in both novels experiences a strange connection to a boy they have never met, and it turns out they’re destined to be together. The only difference is that the character in A Matter of Fate didn’t suffer as much being away from her Connection (aka her Significance if we’re talking terms of Shelley Crane’s novel). There is also a love triangle that spans across the entire Fate series that Significance doesn’t have, at least not in the first book. This is can either be better or worse depending on your opinion about love triangles. I probably won't be reading the rest of the series because I'm afraid that it will be just like Heather Lyons' books, which I actually liked despite the over stretched love triangle.

Romance/Characters: The romance, of course, was completely instalove considering the two are destined to be together. Caleb seemed like a genuinely nice guy, but Kyle annoyed me with his petty jealousy. Maggie was an alright character, nothing bad but nothing exceptionally special. Marcus is your typical villain, and besides him kidnapping her nothing else really happens.

If you don't mind instalove and are looking for a quick fantasy read, Significance is the book for you. It's also currently free on Amazon Kindle! The plot is similar and different at the same time. It does have a Twilight aspect to it with the whole imprinting and share multiple similarities to A Matter of Fate, but the plot is still a cool idea. ( )

This book is so so sweet. Caleb and Maggie are adorable, only have eyes for each other.
Kyle is hilarious, if a bit mean.
Strong family connection.
No cheating.
Bit of ex drama.
You will need to read the whole series to get to their HEA as it has an underlying plot running through all the books.
Excellent secondary characters. ( )
