However, I do wish that this book and the two companions were combined into a complete book. ( ) As you might expect from Elder Bednar, this book requires a lot more than just reading. To get the most out of this, you need to read, ponder, discuss, and apply. I read through this with a couple friends and we got together to discuss after we read each chapter. Having someone else to bounce ideas off and discuss how to apply both personally and as moms was extremely helpful. When we finish the sequel, Act in Doctrine, I plan on going back and rereading both books. I have full confidence that I'll get even more from them the second time. Each chapter has doctrinal insights to ponder and research. Throughout the whole thing the reader is encouraged to take notes and do further research and determine how it applies in your own personal life. Highly recommended. no reviews | add a review
