Dan Walsh is one of those masterful story tellers that absolutely gets the readers attention right from the start. His stories always seem to reach some spot in the human heart that longs for exploration. It is the same for this masterly woven tail of second chance love and suspense.

Micheal has no idea that an inheritance would open the doors to an adventure of a lifetime - one that would forever change him. In it he discovers the truth about the sacrifice of love and many other lessons that leave him a changed man.

This is one of those novels that the reader must just pick up and read for themselves - one where less said is more. Unlike any of the other novels I have read by this author it is nonetheless awesome.

Special thanks to Revel for providing a review copy of this great book. ( )

What an amazing story! This historical fiction pulled me into the story preventing me from putting it down until I finished.
While the novel is fiction, the author went to great lengths to ensure a lot of the historical data during the reign of the Nazis was accurate. The narrator, the grandson of a renowned author whose personal history had remained a secret until his death, discovers an unpublished manuscript in the house he inherited by his infamous grandfather. As the grandson reads the manuscript he learns about his parents incredible journey and the secrets that needed to be kept for the survival of the family. The novel embraces the concepts of true love, loyalty, integrity, patriotism, determination and endurance. Highly recommended read!
