Not specifically a story for children with autism, but a delightful and humourous story with lovely illustrations, to introduce the subject of change. In this case the arrival of a new baby. This book is about a young boy who is curious about the changes that are being made in his life. He finds out at the end that there will be a new addition to his family. This story is informational and helpful for children who may not know how to cope with a new baby in their family or other changes in their lives. Joseph Kaye is a small boy who starts to notice changes around his house. The kettle in the kitchen has ears and a tail, the bathroom sink has a nose and mouth and even the garden wall has an elephant nose coming out of it! Anthony Browne uses his usual imaginative illustrations to explore a young child's anxiety about the arrival of a new sibling. Review by: Fiona no reviews | add a review
