I really liked this science book. It taught the concept of water: what water does, how water works, what the shape of water is. I also liked that in the beginning it encourages the readers to actually experiment with the book. I think this book is a fun way for children to learn about water while experimenting with it. This would be a book that I would read to my class while we experiment with it, a class would have fun with this book. In particular, the experiment with water and wax paper seemed like it would really excite students. ( )

this book was awesome!
It is the perfect book to introduce students to the scientific prinicples. It also a really great example of how to hypothesis and test theories.
Plus it super colorful and fun to read.

The author has a note for teachers to actually do the activities that are mentioned in the book, so that students may make their own scientific discoveries. ( )

I Get Wet is an interactive experiment book about water. I would use this book in my classroom to discuss the different properties of water and do these experiments with my students. The book is easy to understand for children of all ages. I like how it asks questions and then gives the answer. I would give my students a chance to think about the question before I read the answer to them. A great book for a fun science lesson! ( )

An explanation of the properties of water and wetness, with built-in experiments to try. (You'll need cups of various sizes, wax paper, and a paper towel.) ( )

GREAT BOOK! Used as a book in my book club. Nonfiction book filled with different experiments of what happens when you do different things with water.

Book description
This book is a great book to read when teaching students about the properties of water. It has many different experiments and activities to do with water. Also the pictures are helpful when describing the properties of water. It is an easy book to do a lesson on and it also shows how the pictures relate well to the story's words. It tells about how water can form to it's container and how water flows.
