I would have given it a five star for being such a cute Cinderella story but the hardcore erotica kind of ruined it. I had to skim through all the “lovemaking” because I just want to get to the building of Alex and Stella's relationship. It was endearing.

Then there was Heidi, who made it so obvious how horrible they were after the first meeting at the office. Ugh. I like Victoria. She’s my kind of gal.

Besides that, I would have to say that this is the first book from the Spring tower series. The character building was fine and you can feel the friendship arc between these two. Does it make me feel butterflies knowing how well they mesh? No. It was fine to read, but it didn’t give me the jitters wondering what will happen to them.

Fun and flirty - a perfect beach/pool read. Likeable characters that M. Rayne gives you just enough to keep it fun and the pages flowing. ( )
