Beautifully written and unputdownable. Kate Rigby inhabits her characters deftly changing from a fragile young girl to a heartbroken father without losing any authenticity. The plot is compelling and explores the timeless issues of class in the UK. Her gentle pop culture references subtly place a UK reader in a recognisable early 2000s context.
