This is an unusual book. Part memoir / part self-help book it recounts moments in the authors life that inspired him to think differently. The autobiographical sections are very descriptive and very well told while the self-help part is very thought provoking. Instead of dishing out the usual message of "think positively" it focuses on teaching you how to get over and avoid setbacks, how to identify opportunities that others might miss and more importantly how to constantly improve yourself so that you can become the best version of yourself. I read it last Christmas and have gone back to it several times and found it very helpful in my career. ( )

Inspiring book - retells the author's journey around the world and the events that revealed to him insights about how to live life more successfully. I particularly like the chapter The Taj Mahal and what he says about love - very beautiful. ( )

Fascinating book in which the author takes you on a journey around the world and recounts the moments in his life which inspired him to think in a new way and see life from a whole new perspective. It’s written in a very rich poetic language that reminded me of the novel Shantaram and meant at times needed to read sentences to get the full meaning. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to find a better way of living. ( )
