I had not read this one but I will say I really enjoyed it. the concept of eternity and how the organization utilized it was very interesting. Also loved the twists at the end. ( )

It’s been a loooong time since I first read this one. It’s a great story brought down by a pretty unlikeable main character. But I love the concept and the ending twist/execution. ( )

A group of men control Eternity, and are themselves immortal. They decide when humans on Earth have done something that is not worthy of"the greater good," and they plot the changes in Reality, travelling downwhen to make them happen, that will eliminate this. Playing gods, some humans will suffer horrible deaths as a result. But one of the Technicians begins to put A and B together, and begins to explore the How and the Why, and doesn't like what he comes to see.

Here is one of those works where women are called"girls," as long as they are attractive to men, and men are NOT called"boys." I still love Asimov. ( )

What a mindbend of a book, with a really polished time travel theory and an amazing story, it can get a bit confusing at some points, but it all makes sense when you look at the bigger picture, also a surpirising conclusion and a moral dilema worthy of debate, just like I like them.
The onl thing I disliked about this book is that the characters(especially the protagonist) can feel a bit forced, unnatural and fake both with their emotions and decision making, but this is just me nitpicking.
Overall, I totally really recommend this one. ( )

3.5 stars Is this a metaphor for capitalism vs socialism? The Eternals representing the socialists who determine the safest course, the greater good for the greater number of people or the non-Eternals advocating for capitalism through struggle you get advances that socialists don't need to achive stability and happiness.
