Fun retelling of the origin of the Teen Titans. Needed more Raven, though....hopefully volume 2 will! ( )

I’ve read the Batman Earth One and Superman Earth One volumes and so I thought I’d give this TPB a chance as well. I didn’t like it quite as much as the previous Earth One tomes, but it wasn’t bad and was interesting.

It’s about a bunch of High Schoolers just as the regular timeline Teen Titans have been. Gar, Tara, Vic, Joey, and Raven, as well as an unknown (for most of the book) force that seems to be trying to bring all these other kids together. They’re also all changing, and not just in typical teen ways.

I did get who most of the teens were right away, except for Tara (probably because I haven’t read as much about her character). And the stuff with Slade and the other parents was very interesting too.

It was a good start to the Earth One Teen Titans, and an okay addition to the Earth One Universe.

I got this advanced galley through Netgalley on behalf of DC Entertainment ( )
