This book would be good for primary students. This book is "Waiting" written and illustrated by Kevin Henkes and published in 2015. This book is about toy animals sitting on a windowsill each waiting or something different. At the end, a new character joins and they all wait for what to happen next. I think this would be good in a classroom for independent reading for. new reader as there are very little words and the pictures say a lot. I think it is a heartfelt, sweet book that teaches kids to be curious and exciting for what it next in their life.

This book would be best for Kindergarten and first grade as it is a fairly simple book in terms of words and illustrations. This book shows animals sitting on a window sill, each waiting for something. When a new figurine is placed on the window sill the others try to figure out what this new figurine is waiting for. This book could be useful to have in a classroom to teach about patience and that the things you want in life are worth waiting for. This book is also simple enough that it could be used for group storytime or for individual reading. ( )

This book follows 5 animals sitting on a windowsill. Each of the animals are waiting for a specific season in the weather.I think the book does a good job showing that children do a lot of waiting and as they grow older patience comes along. In the classroom this could show students the importance and beauty of patience. ( )

This book is the story of some animals that sit together on a windowsill and wait, and during the story they are joined by a few more friends to sit and wait with them. This book has excellent illustrations that convey what the characters are doing without much dialogue. This book is appropriate for primary readers. ( )
