Best short introduction to the frescoes in the so-called Arena Chapel, better known as the Cappella degli Scrovegni, in Padova. One of the few documented works by Giotto. Unfortunately, the illustrations are by far outdated: in black and white, and taken long before the most recent restauration, so you will need another book for the illustrations. ( )
