He loses the boat, and it's ruined. His dad helps him to make a paper airplane, and he goes outside to fly it when the rain clears. This book is filled with emotion, from the colors, to the characters expressions, to the meaning behind the story. There is a father son bond that is relatable to many students, and all students in different ways. The pictures are very interactive and there are many ways to include the book into a curriculum. The front and back covers display a step by step guide on how to make an origami boat, which could be a fun activity for the kids!
