Disambiguation notice
Gismonde of Salerne (c1566) and Tancred and Gismonde (Q1591) are versions of the same play, and yet are not the same play. The earlier was written by Robert Wilmot, Christopher Hatton and three others in collaboration, in a style which was current in the 1560s. The later play was completely rewritten by Wilmot alone in pentameter blank verse, according to the style of the 1580s and 90s.

Please do not combine these related but distinct plays.
