the bear cubs start to learn about saving their money and putting it in the bank so that if they need money on a rainy day they have it.

Summary:
Brother and sister do not really understand how money works exactly. They don't quite understand running out of money. Mamma bear wants them to start earning an allowance but Papa disagrees. After they waste their money on a video game Papa agrees. Papa feels he accidentally taught them that money is the most important thing after making them earn their money, but they end up surprising him by giving him all the money they earned so that Papa and Mamma don't have to worry about money again. They end up putting the money away in a bank for the cubs.

Personal Reaction:
I liked this book a lot because I could relate with spending my money on silly things and not knowing how to save. I liked the story also because it teaches kids more about how money works.

Classroom Extension:
1. I think this is a good lesson for spending money wisely.
2. having a class project where the kids have to budget money could be effective.
