I think it's official that I'm just not a big Grady Hendrix fan. I did enjoy the book enough to listen to the whole thing, but it's just not my favorite. I did however, LOVE the 90s references. That was fantastic. There was also a dog killed in this book and I'm not down with that. The fact the author went there, kinda makes me disrespect him. I think this will be the last Grady Hendrix. I think this is the fourth one and I haven't really loved any of them. Maybe that's my own fault for reading/listening to four of them before giving up. The title tells it all. A friend gets a demon...and then they do an exorcism. And then they lived their lives. That's legit the whole book. Done. Over. ( )

"I love you," Abby shouted into the storm. "I love you, Gretchen Lang. You are my reflection and my shadow and I will not let you go. We are bound together forever and ever! Until Halley's Comet comes around again. I love you dearly and I love you queerly and no demon is bigger than this! I throw my pebble and its name is Gretchen Lang and in the name of our love, BEGONE!!!" ( )

For Amanda,
Who knows the reasons why.*

*But if she doesn't, I would suggest she have her attorney consult both protective orders filed against her, the criminal complaint which outlines these reasons in great detail, and maybe also her conscience because disclosing the whereabouts of the bodies will finally bring some kind of closure for my family.
