I found this one a little disappointing, especially compared to the first volume. A large part had to do with the art style for several of the issues - it seems like each artist draws Rio particularly differently, and it got pretty jarring at points. They also draw the women different, of course, but it's less noticeable somehow.

Plotwise, I found it rather meh. After the wham-bang beginning, this was all moving the plot forward without any real climax. Also, the hint that Synergy had something awfully wrong with her was just dropped, and then ignored for the rest of the volume.

I did enjoy seeing the more human sides of the Misfits, though, particularly Pizzazz. Also, the holiday issue while seeming odd and out of place, was still sweet. ( )
