Israel McKinney can't remember much after a horse drags him across Pancake Valley. Willa Pancake needs a new ranchhand, though, so she takes him on with some doubts. Turns out Israel is at the center of a mystery and trouble regarding the ranchers who are trying to take over Willa's land.
I didn't like it quite as much as the first book in the series, but it was still a good romance and a pretty good story. ( )
