A story of early 1900's Italian Life. Beppo and his family live in Assisi Italy. Beppo wants a new hat like his fathers, with a wide black rim for working in the fields. His father has promised him one of the new goslings to raise and sell at the annual fair to get money for his hat. Beppo picks out one of the spunkiest goslings and names her Bianca. Follow Beppo as he tries to keep his rambunctious goose out of trouble and learn about Italian family and farm life at the turn of the century. A colorful beautifully illustrated book.
