This is just a soft little novella within the Heartstopper story. It's a good glimpse at Charlie and Tori (and Oliver's) relationship without being too heavy or too light. It's just right. ( )

It's Charlie Spring's first Christmas family gathering since his stay in a mental health facility, and the day is not going well for him or his sister, Tori. Heartstopper's signature romantic sweetness helps leaven an educational public service announcement about not being a jackass to your relatives, especially ones going through a period of stress and vulnerability. ( )

This is a novella set in the Solitaire / Heartstopper universe. Originally released before Heartstopper came out, timeline wise it fits in the end of Heartstopper volume 4.

See my Volume 4 review for full thoughts, but this is just a great continuation of our deep dive into Charlie's struggles with his mental health and his eating disorder. We see more of Nick & Charlie's families, and continue to see their relationship grow as they learn to support each other through some very difficult times.
