Nighthawk is a hybrid vehicle: part aircraft and part space craft. It has been up in space for 3 years and now it is time to land at Vanderburg AF base in California when suddenly it goes missing. Kurt Austin and his partner Joe have been asked to come in to help NSA to find and recover Nighthawk. China and Russia are also trying to find the craft.
Austin discovers that Nighthawk was harvesting some material in space that is very volatile and now the NUMA team has only 7 days to find the material before there is a catastrophic explosion. ( )

Nighthawk: NUMA Files by Clive Cussler is a great adventure involving the United States, Russia, and China and a rogue brilliant ex-agent. The author, Clive Cussler has tremendous knowledge about weaponry, cars, planes and boats and uses this knowledge in an intriguing caper from the beginning of the book until the last page. He always infuses comedy with his charming characters wit. The book is highly recommended and thus received five stars in this review. ( )

A very entertaining book. With US, China, and Russia racing to find the Nighthawk and its cargo in the Pacific ocean. Quite an adventure. ( )
