I just felt my brain dissolve. The names! Merit is our main character and her twin sister is Honor. Wait, there's more. Utah is also a sibling. Moby is the half brother. Barnaby is the Dad and the most normal named guy besides Victoria, her stepmom. But there's TWO Victoria's the stepmother and the real mother!

Her Uncle is named Luck though.

Their house is a church turned into a home. Yep.

The plot doesn't really exist I just ended up hung up on these names the entire journey. CoHo likes to pluck up random words and slap them as names. It's not gelling together.

Colleen really needs to learn about mental illness and therapy better because she cannot write it in a non-toxic fuck you to real struggling people. The behavior of Sagen towards the mentally ill girl is disgusting and abusive. Sagen will only love her when she's mentally well and when she's struggling likes to guilt her and tear her down. ( )

I enjoyed this so much that I am not sure how to put it into words. As much as I like the romance novels but the difference in this book was really well done. Don't get me wrong you will get your romance, there are just other topics, that open your eyes.
Another intriguing, captivating read from Colleen Hoover. This hits on the functional dysfunction of family, and how we live, love and evolve through it all. I was so engaged into how the Voss families legacy would emerge, that I was reading in every free moment that I could grab. I love the introduction of a gay character! Colleen Hoover I think this is my favorite book I have read so far this year! ( )
