Vassanji, have gone on to single themselves out with collections of stories or novels, and have been shortlisted for and won some of Canada’s most prestigious literary awards. This fiction anthology sets itself apart from others in that editors of literary journals across the country are invited to submit what, in their view, is the most accomplished writing in English that they have published in the previous year. The final selection to appear in the anthology will be made this year from a total of 82 stories.… (more)
