No current Talk conversations about this book. fantastic ( ) I liked the story but the book is so short, it's hard to get to know any of the characters besides the main one. Some of the characters actions didn't make sense to me. I was really just starting to get into the story when it was over. It felt incomplete. I understand the author's reasoning but a book is not like a TV show; you don't usually have to purchase every episode of a show separately. The typos really got to me too but I know that's my own quirk. I always get annoyed when there are typos. I understand that everyone makes mistakes so it doesn't bother me so much if it's only one or two but when there are multiple errors, it just feels like they didn't try hard enough before they published. Dragon School's First Flight is amazing! It is by Sarah K.L.Wilson and it is for teens and even for possibly upper middle grade kids. I loved it and I am in my 60's. A fun adventure of a girl with a crippled leg in a Dragon School and going to pick a Dragon to be bonded with. The scary part is how they have to get on the dragons! Holy cow! Great story! This book was provided to me free of charge. I am voluntarily reviewing it. Dragon School: First Ride is quick and easy read at just over 100 pages. Despite the brevity, the author does a good job of creating a complex and well fleshed out main character in Amel. She is determined and brave, refusing to give up on her dream despite the negativity that is aimed her way. I would recommend this book to any fantasy reader who enjoys a heroine that doesn't shy away from difficulty. no reviews | add a review
