A solid though shallow overview. I'm waiting for the time a Chaikin or a Siddiqui can really do the subject justice. ( )

This is a nicely balanced look at the modern space race, with equal coverage to all involved. I especially liked is that the author noted that everybody is working to get to Mars and have no plans on what happens when we get there.
