The 25th in the popular immortal series, Casca returns to the United States and becomes involved in saving a family of Irish immigrants. Pursued by a vengeful criminal, Casca settles in Virginia but soon attracts the attention of the Brotherhood, so opts to join the army just as war with Mexico breaks out. Sent to the war, Casca has to fight through a series of defensive positions until the final battle before the capital where he and a unit of Marines are pinned down.
