Who doesn't need hope in today's world? And unshakable hope? Sign me up!! This book uses bible verses to provide hope for our problems, giving us a way to filter our lives and our challenges through the promises of God.

I have read several of Max Lucado's books and they always offer encouragement, reassurance, and evidence of God's personal love for me, written in a warmly humorous and loving style. This book is no different and includes discussion questions which can be used for personal reflection or in a small group. ( )

Great message of where we can find hope and connection with passages found in the bible and the love of Christ. I read this as a daily devotional. Max Lucado's style is simple, direct and conversational - as if he was in my living room as a teacher / pastor. ( )

A truly inspirational book about hope, this book asks some personal questions, and offers great advice - straight from the scriptures. I wasn't feeling very hopeful, and I could feel that my faith was shaky, at best. I didn't even know that I needed to read this book. I picked it up on a whim when it crossed my desk at the library. Lucado uses scripture and personal stories to remind us of the unshakable hope we have in Christ, and how Jesus is there to help us if we ever feel that our hope is slipping through our grasp.

    An excellent book. ( )

Stresses the promises of God and why Christians should never lose hope, even in the face of terrible events. ( )
