Julio Cortázar not only proved to be a master of contemporary literature, he was also a prolific intellectual who left behind a valuable collection of essays full of wit and humor. His critical texts provide an essential analysis to such an extent that they reveal vital concepts and beliefs present at the beginning of Cortazarian literature, in a sense, offering the reader a complete depiction of the author of Rayuela / Hopscotch. This selection has been carried out by three experts who are also renowned scholars, and were very close friends of Julio Cortazar: Saúl Yurkievich, Jaime Alzaraki, and Saúl Sosnowski.… (more)
