The stakes are higher. The witches are deadlier. And the romance is red-hot. The eagerly anticipated sequel to the New York Times and Indiebound bestseller Serpent & Dove is perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas and is an instant New York Times bestseller!

Lou, Reid, Coco, and Ansel are on the run from coven, kingdom, and churchâ??fugitives with nowhere to hide.

To survive, they need allies. Strong ones. But as Lou becomes increasingly desperate to save those she loves, she turns to a darker side of magic that may cost Reid the one thing he can't bear to lose. Bound to her always, his vows were clear: where Lou goes, he will go; and where she stays, he will stay.

Until death do they part.

Don't miss Gods & Monsters, the spellbinding conclusion of this epic trilogy!… (more)

Ooh, the second book was great! We jump right back in to the story and the adventure never stops. I love the battle that Lou is fighting (internally) to keep from turning into her mother and I love that Reid cares enough to keep her on track. The journey isn't over and I am off to read book #3. ( )

The plot was meandering and it seemed like such a filler book.

Content: language, I skipped a chapter

Hoping that the next book will be better ( )

Extremely boring sequel to a go decent 'cheese puff' of a book. I finished it. That's really all there is to say. I hope the 3rd is more satisfactory than this. ( )

I like the story. I really do. My only problem with this book is the frequent use of complicated words. I have to pause like every page or two (especially at the early chapters) and consult the dictionary. It's driving me insane. Don't get me wrong. I like learning new words. But this is too much for me. English is not my first language and the frequent use of complicated words made my reading of this book less enjoyable.

I hope the next book won't make me feel like this. ( )
