Continuing the story started in A Tale of Magic about the Fairy Godmother and Mother Goose when they were young. The fairies and most other magic creatures are getting along with the human world now, but the witches still feel left out. A powerful witch has started a school for young witches and tries to recruit Lucy away from the fairy council. An anti-magic group in the Southern Kingdom, the Righteous Brotherhood, threatens the fairies and tries to separate Brystal from them. The middle book of a trilogy, this ends with a challenge for Brystal, Lucy, and the Fairy Council to fulfill. ( )
