Swedish history starts rather late. Christianity didn't come till the 11th century or so. Gustav Vasa started the Vasa dynasty in 1523. He died in 1560 and was succeeded by his son Eric XIV, who was deposed in 1568 by his half-brother John III. John III died in 1592 and was succeeded by Sigismund . A revolt followed and Charles IX--brother of Eric XIV and John III--became king. Charles IX died in 1611 and was succeeded by his son Gustavus Adolphus who of course died in 1632 and was succeeded by his daughter Christina who abdicated in 1654 and was succeed by Charles X. He died in 1660 and was succeeded by his son Charles XI, who reigned till 1697. Next Charles XII came, and he was killed in 1718. The history of Sweden is interesting and I may read more in the field. [[But I never have, yet.]] ( ) no reviews | add a review
