Love the Dogman books! My son has the entire collection! Very clean and cute, funny stories for kids. ( )

Pilkey’s newest instalment of Dog-man is a story and a drawing book. There are step by step instructions for drawing your own characters at the end.

This time Dog Man has been kicked off the force and a mysterious, slightly slobbery cat is the replacement.

Yes he’s really done it this time! He hands over his badge and clears out his desk, but while he may be out of a job, he's not yet out of hope. With his friends at his side, can Dog Man dig himself out of this hole and paw his way back onto the force?

The plots explores positive themes, including empathy, kindness, persistence, and the importance of doing good. References are made to Maya Angelou, Carrie Fisher and a poem by Natalie Elizabeth Frye.
The illustrations are bright, and active involving lots of slapstick humor. ( )
