This was a fun MM romance. An American in London, hot English bartender, stuff about tea, more British vs American whatnots, etc it’s all there! I like how the world these characters exist in is devoid of homophobia. Of course, homophobia is a very real threat in our world but to read about two people who are attracted to one another and not having to give a shit about what the rest of humanity believes is appropriate is a nice change of scenery! Well I plowed through this and loved it. There were so many feels between Dean and Fitz, and I couldn’t believe how much was packed into what was only around five plus days for them. I really enjoyed the end and epilogues though too as they showed how their HEA would actually work out (although in this world apparently there’s no chance of trades for hockey players; I did like how she made her world without homophobia as that was lovely). I loved this book! Why don’t more authors write love stories where the MCs don’t have 3rd act break-ups? Beside a very, very short freak out, these guys managed to keep a great relationship by having conversations like adults. I was prepared to feel just OK with the book since instalove is really not my thing, but I was charmed by the characters. ( )
