A Care Bears volume where nothing much happens except everyone sits around talking about their feelings and how much they like everyone else. What little progress appears to be made is just erased by the end. And yet it looks so nice and the characters are just so wuvable. ( )

After completing the second trail of surprising Beldaruit the Wise as a group, Coco is invited to his room where she is rewarded with the story of Qifrey’s past and how he’s connected to the brim hats. Feeling the desire to save her mother, Coco departs on her own to the Tower of Tomes to try and get in to receive answers. Qifrey and Olruggio must go and save her.

We really get to see the connection between Qifrey and Olruggio in this volume and see their friendship and how deep it goes. I feel for Olruggio and his desire to want to help Qifrey and after they have a discussion on what exactly Qifrey is doing, it really makes me sad for how he reacts to Olruggio wanting to help him. I feel like we’re still missing a part of the Qifrey’s story, especially since we’ve been told it from others points of views and not from Qifrey's himself. So it will be interesting to see where this all goes for him and Coco.

Speaking of Coco, I’m just so proud of her and all that she's been doing. She has such a good head on her shoulders (and that memory is one to be jealous of!). I’m so interested to see how she goes about getting her mother back to normal. ( )

Series Info/Source: This is the seventh volume in the Witch Hat Atelier series. I bought a copy of this book.

Story (5/5): I love this series so much and this volume was just as wonderful as all the rest. Qifrey is recovering from his injuries and we learn a lot about his background and history through this process. Meanwhile, Coco departs on her own to go to the Tower of Tomes to find answers on how to save her mother. While the story was a bit slower here than in previous volumes it was still very well done.

Characters (5/5): I loved that we get to learn a lot more about Qifrey’s background in this volume. Also love that we see Coco taking some risks and being much more serious about her quest to help her mother. I love how all these characters interact and are so caring and supportive of each other.

Setting (5/5): Visiting the Tower of Tomes was amazing and absolutely beautiful.

Writing/Drawing Style (4/5): This is an incredibly well drawn series with amazing detail and beautiful images. I also think the story is well put together and easy to follow. I love the magic here, the beautiful world, the amazing characters and the intriguing storyline. This is just a perfect blend of so many elements.

My Summary (5/5): Overall I loved this volume just as much as previous volumes. This continues to be a very well drawn and written manga series that is magical and fun to read, while also being very heartfelt. This series just always leaves me feeling so positive and happy. It’s one of the few manga series I immediately pre-order as soon as I can! ( )
