I loved this book and looking forward to reading the rest of this series. The spice was spot on and the characters were great. I enjoyed reading Ava and Alex coming together. There is definitely something to be said for the morally grey men and Ana Huang wrote a terrific one in Alex Volkov! Although the plot fell short for me, the MMC made up for it in the end. The backstory was lacking, leaving much to be desired. However, the conclusion gave me the feels. Initially thought to rate 2.5, however the ending ultimately tipped the scale to a 3. (I liked it. Didnt hate it, didn't love it.. just liked it) no reviews | add a review

This was a nice brain-dead read.
I did not need to concentrate too hard on the plot, the dialogue was cheesy, but the good kind. I liked the characters, no one got under my skin to the point I wanted to throw the book. The writing style was okay . . .
I enjoyed Ava and Alex a lot. I worked out the plot for both ways before the 'reveal'. So, fingers crossed the rest of the series will astonish me with the twists. The side characters and friends were thought out well and I know they are essential for the sequels.
The spice was vanilla at best. ( )
