So good!! Has everything I’d ever want and more. Dragons and the undead. The companions bring back the vibe of the fellowship in Lord of the Ring! Can’t wait for book 3 ( )

It's not that good, but it's not that bad either.

I have no idea there are undead in this book. The plot is good but it just kind fell flat. I'm not sure if I should continue reading this series. ( )

I enjoyed the second book more than the first book, I assume that this is because Victoria completes the world building in book #1 and we were able to just jump in to the story in Blade Breaker. I also liked the pace in this book, this book was able to keep me engaged throughout.

Now I need to borrow my daughter's Red Queen series and read more of Victoria's writing. ( )

LOVED this installment of the realm breaker series! I didn't know that there was going to be another book, so the ending came as a bit of a shock, and now im waiting at the edge of my seat for the next one! Compared to the first book I definitely started to feel more connected to the characters - can't wait to see where book 3 takes them! ( )

Blade Breaker is the second novel in Victoria Aveyard’s Realm Breaker series. I was not a massive fan of the first novel; it was too similar to the Fellowship of the Rings for my taste. This sequel, I feel, is a much better story overall. While there are still hints and homages to the Lord of the Rings trilogy, it is not as overt as in the first novel. There is more action and forward progress in the story as a whole. Now that she no longer has to introduce the characters, Ms. Aveyard takes the time to develop them more fully, resulting in richer, more nuanced characters than those we first met. Overall, I greatly enjoyed Blade Breaker and look forward to more of the story! ( )
