A very useful and complete reference. Includes basic usage plus a lot of idiosyncrasies. ( )

This book is a disappointment unless you are on fast track to pass ESL exams like TOEFL- for this specific purpose it is very useful. However, I won't recommend it otherwise. Almost nothing in this book is explained. It is one of many grammar books on market that are based on memorization by rote rather than logic. There is no structure or organization;the entries are listed alphabetically.
The information on many entries is terse and don't list exceptions to the rules.
Many examples are basic: p.66 " "You are not the my uncle" is not correct". p.272 "In front of is the opposite of behind". An entire page is for the use of "dare". ( )

So far, the best grammar book I've stumbled over. The topics are classified alphabetically and are explained in an easy to understand way.
