Every day I clean the Winchesters' beautiful house top to bottom. I collect their daughter from school. And I cook a delicious meal for the whole family before heading up to eat alone in my tiny room on the top floor. I try to ignore how Nina makes a mess just to watch me clean it up. How she tells strange lies about her own daughter. And how her husband Andrew seems more broken every day. But as I look into Andrew's handsome brown eyes, so full of pain, it's hard not to imagine what it would be like to live Nina's life. I only try on one of Nina's pristine white dresses once. Just to see what it's like. But soon she finds out - and by the time I realize my attic bedroom door only locks from the outside, it's far too late. But I reassure myself that the Winchesters don't know who I really am. And they don't know what I'm capable of.… (more)

I was worried that reading a review comparing this to Verity might’ve spoiled the whole thing but wow what a ride this was ( )

An easy read. I’ll admit that for the first part of the book I thought it was quite amateur and didn’t think it was great but that all changed as soon as I started part 2! Twists I didn’t see coming and an ending I never expected
3.5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ( )

I had a feeling what would happen and it did but it still was well paced. ( )

**spoiler alert** Some great unexpected plot twists. I felt all through part 1 that Nina wasn’t very believable as a character, and part 2 explained why. I did feel like Millie and Andy were a bit flat as characters. Suuuuuper abrupt and unrealistic ending. When Detective Connors said his piece, my reaction was “nah.”

But a fun read. ( )
