The Wild Coast is written by Lin Anderson. It is Book #17 in the Rhona Macleod series.
Lin Anderson is a Scottish author and screenwriter, known best for her Rhona Macleod series. She is a co-founder of the international crime-writing festival, Bloody Scotland, which is an annual event.
Our main character, Rhona Macleod, is a forensic scientist working with the Glasgow Police. She and her assistant Chrissy McInsh have been instrumental in solving several high-profile cases.
This title is well-written and plotted, tense and very atmospheric. Scotland is a very major character in Ms. Anderson’s books.
Characters are very well fleshed-out. Characters such as Rhona, Chrissy, rogue detective Michael McNab, and Magnus are familiar, smart, extremely good and insightful at their work.
I would highly recommend this series and title (*****). I would also recommend ‘beginning at the beginning’ with Book #1 Driftnet.

We are in a very remote area of Scotland in The Wild Coast. A lethal killer is at large. As lone visitors disappear from the rural northwest of Scotland, campsites are becoming crime scenes.
A very tense, chilling thriller. ( )
