Work Information"Country Life" Book of the Natural History of the British Isles by Pat Morris
![]() None No current Talk conversations about this book. ![]() The book is described on the cover as 'A field encyclopedia of the wildlife and habitats of Great Britain and Ireland', and that's just what it is. It is packed with informative detail, illustrations and photographs. I am no expert, but the book appears to be thoroughly comprehensive as well as detailed. It even stretches to a chapter on wildlife in man-made habitats (creatures that may be found in your garden and house). I am especially impressed because the book includes ferrets, which, as a domesticated animal (related to the native polecat) are very rarely mentioned in other surveys of mammals in Britain. The coverages of species is excellent in this book - I am sure I need refer to no other guide. no reviews | add a review
