Summary: A man reflects on one of his childhood memories: the adventure that he and his family had when they set out to reunite his grandmother's djinn and his wife. At the end of his retelling of the adventure, we find that the djinn and his wife were successfully reunited, and, to this day, live together in an extra-large bottle.

Review: This is an interesting book. It's a rather original story, with a lot of action. I feel that it would have been better as a short chapter book, so that the author could take more time over the details of the story; as it is, it feels a bit rushed. The illustrations complement the author's writing style, but there is nothing noteworthy about either. A decent book, but, again, nothing noteworthy.

Central Idea of My Grandmother's Djinn: It is unclear what the central idea of this book is. ( )
